HOW TO SOOTHE DRY WINTER SKIN

We woke up to the first major snowfall of this winter season ((this morning)) and after an afternoon of playing outside, I was quickly reminded what a harsh toll cold weather can take on your skin! That dry, tight feeling that you get means your skin is begging for restoration in moisture!

There’s nothing Canadians know more about than how to master the cold, wintery weather - and battling the dry skin that comes along with it is no exception! So without further ado, my absolute favourites for skin hydration, to soothe that dry winter skin!

Face Moisturizers & Treatments

If you have combination skin (oily AND dry) and are needing hydration, you’ll want to look for a moisturizer that’s water based (just look at the ingredients, usually water is listed first!). Plus, these moisturizers are amazing for locking in moisture. All of the products I chose below are water-based, and super effective!

Hand Lotions & Moisturizers

Our hands endure some major damage during the colder months. They get dry, knuckles crack, (even bleed!), and not caring for them can lead to premature signs of aging (yikes!). Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!

Lip Balm & Treatments

Can’t forget about your lips! They can definitely suffer in cold and wintery conditions too, getting dry, cracked and chapped. These will help them stay soft all winter long!
