Cheeseball & Crackers 


HAPPY THURSDAY OF A LONG WEEKEND!  It's Victoria Day long weekend, otherwise known as "May 2-4" and that means going to the beach, parties, and drinking (LOL just kidding, we're parents and live on a farm- there's literally no such thing as a long weekend).  If you're planning on partaking in some fun long weekend festivities, I've put together a SUPER EASY (and I mean like SUPER easy) appetizer you can throw together to add to your spread or bring along to a BBQ.   

Please also note that nowhere did it say "healthy" in the title LOL.  There really isn't anything healthy about it but it's super yummy, super easy like I said, and always a hit!  As a busy mom, I love a good quick and easy appetizer to throw together to bring somewhere or an easy addition to any table of goodies.  This literally only has 5 ingredients and will take you 10 minutes, max!  



- 1 block cream cheese (8oz), softened

- sour cream... I don't actually measure (yikes) but it's always around 3/4 of a 500ml container 

- 1 bunch of green onion, chopped

- 2 cups old cheddar cheese, shredded

- poppy seeds 




Mix cream cheese and sour cream together in a bowl with an electric mixer on low-medium speed, until consistency is fairly smooth.  


Add in chopped green onion and cheddar cheese.  


Continue to with electric mixer until everything is mixed.


 I shape it into half of a ball on a nice plate, sprinkle poppy seeds all over it, and surround it with any choice of crackers.  


Done!  Doesn't get easier than that!
