CUTE SUMMER MIDI DRESS!

Probably one of the most frequent questions I get asked is "I'm looking for a dress to wear to (insert event here), any suggestions??".  Turns out I have suggestions by the PLENTY.  I'm big on dresses, especially during the summer, because as you may or may not know, I have a love-hate relationship with shorts.  Dresses are also just so damn easy.  It's literally just one piece of clothing, you don't even have to think about it and BOOM it looks good.

I found this amazing dress online at Anthropologie and have to say that although I love it, it felt SUPER out of my comfort zone.  When I first got it, I thought it was a little too like "Little House on the Prairie" which may sound ridiculous but please understand that my comfort zone starts and stops at black dresses LOL.  But honestly this whole blogging thing has made me look for new inspiration, not only in my life but in my style too - and pushed me totally out of that comfort zone.  So green striped midi dress it was.

Things I absolutely love about this dress:

First of all, stripes. DUH.   LOVE the sexy neckline and where it cinches at the waist.  A good flowy dress where it cinches at the waist is awesome for my fellow curvy girls because it accentuates the smallest parts. I will say that I wasn't happy after seeing the pictures with the way the, ahem, "girls" looked- I was wearing a good bra but because it's such a low cut, I was trying to hide the bra rather than wear it at the right spot for proper support.  So a different bra choice will probably be in order for this dress.  Love the sleeves (I hateeeee tight sleeves that are so uncomfortable and make me feel like I have massive arms).  I felt super comfortable with the length once I put the right shoes on, and the material is also SUPER light and airy.  The green I was unsure about but I ended up really loving how it looked!  Especially with a little straw bag- it's so cute and comfy and I feel like I should be frolicking through a vineyard in it LOL.

Also - I can't believe I didn't take a picture of this but the back is also so cute!! It's an open back and ties at the top, and it also ties around the waist.  It's the perfect combination of like sexy and cute at the same time! Here's a picture from the website so you know what I mean.

So cute right!?  This would be so perfect for any weddings or special events you have left this summer (it ain't over yet!!!).

So here's the crappy part.  As far as I know, this dress is completely sold out on the Anthropologie website.  It went so quick - I could barely get a post up about it and now it's nowhere to be found on the website!  Grrrr.  However- I did find an identical dress on ASOS.  Disclaimer - I have never ordered off of ASOS so I have no personal experience shopping their site.  I know tons of people that have, and love shopping there.  But for the sake of honesty, I can't say I've ever done it myself.  Anyway, if you love the dress and want to check it out for yourself, here's the link!
