Happy Sunday (night) everyone!!! Well, it’s officially FALL- and right on schedule, came some consistently cooler weather! The result: all things fall and harvest, comin’ in hot! I had every intention of posting this sooner - this Sunday was going to consist of cozy clothes, a yummy French Vanilla cappuccino, take-out and the couch - but instead turned into Caesar Sunday at a friends’ around a campfire LOL. Jase just started playschool last week, so naturally he caught a cold and was generous enough to share it with the rest of us, so our household is running REALLY low on sleep - but the kids had a fun day playing and the weather was gorgeous so I’m glad we got to enjoy it- plus, some fresh air can make a world of difference!

Anyway, I think that many of us, myself included, are guilty of thinking that new season = new clothing! I definitely love adding a few more pieces to my closet when a new season hits. The truth is though, you don’t have to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe to accommodate the changing weather- a few pieces can go a lot farther than you think! This could come especially in handy for anyone planning to do some travelling this fall/winter. You can really make only a few pieces go a really long way by mixing and matching!

So keeping all of that in mind, I decided to put together a “Fall Capsule Wardrobe” - I chose 11 pieces - 2 shirts, 2 sweaters, 2 jackets, 2 bottoms, 2 pairs of shoes, and 1 dress - and created 11 different looks using only those pieces (plus a couple of accessories!)

Here are all of the details for the 11 pieces that I chose - I’ve linked it all for you (in order from left to right) so you can check out the pieces for yourself as well!

  1. Leather-Like Motorcycle Jacket, Le Chateau

2. Wilfred Free Gail Dress, Aritzia

3. Strappy Camisole, Banana Republic

4. Naedia Medium Brown Women’s Ankle Booties, Aldo Shoes

5. High-Rise Legging Fit Medium Wash Ankle Jeans, Banana Republic

6. Hooded Parka, American Eagle

7. Steve Madden Studded Mules, Nordstrom

8. Halogen Relaxed V-Neck Cashmere Sweater, Nordstrom

9. Wunder Under Hi-Rise Tight, LuluLemon

10. Oversized Chenille Turtleneck, Aerie

11. Super-Long Open-Front Duster Cardigan, Old Navy

So now that you have all the product details, time for the outfits! Be mindful that I didn’t purchase these items just for this post (although I did try and purposely select newer items so that I could link them for you!) so you are absolutely able to do this from your own closets as well! If you want to make it easier, select neutrals because they’re easier to mix and match - but definitely don’t be afraid to switch things out for some pops of colour!

So as you guys can see, you have TONS of possibilities using the same few pieces! All I really did was switch out the bags, but as for everything else, it’s the same 11 pieces, just styled in different ways and paired with different items! There you have it. A simple, capsule wardrobe to inspire you to re-use some of the items you already have and love!
