HAIR & BEAUTY FAVS FOR SPRING
Happy Tuesday folks! Another day in this 2462938 month long winter. Doesn’t it feel like the cold just won’t quit? I’m sooo ready for the snow to go. Bring on all things fresh, shimmery, clean, nudey and lush. I want fresh flowers in the house, to crack open the windows in the house and let in a warm breeze, and to get my truck detailed - seriously, all signs of winter to just be gone lol. Buttttt since the ball is in Mother Nature’s court, in the meantime, I’m going to at least get myself ready for when the time comes so that I can take full advantage of all things spring once it arrives. Not only do I spring clean around the house and yard, but my cosmetic cupboard as well- out with heavy and vampy, and in with fresh, light, delicate, and pops of colour. Sounds dreamy, right? So below I’m sharing some of my current hair and beauty favourites that I’ll be stocking up on for spring!
Love this clarifying shampoo! Clears away build up from other products like dry shampoo, and any greasy/waxy products as well that might leave residue in your hair. Love this shampoo to completely cleanse the scalp!
I mean, this might just be an all-season favourite LOL. It’s a daily must have for me!
I only get my hair done 2-3 times a year now, and spring is one of those times because I love to feel refreshed around that time of year. This is the best purple shampoo I’ve ever used to keep the brass out and keep blonde looking fresh!
After these incredibly cold and dry days, a restorative hair mask is just what the doctor ordered for damaged hair. This is a great one from Moroccan Oil that you can leave in during your shower- leaves your hair feeling SO soft after!
I just started using the Vivier line recently, but I knew this Vitamin C scrub would be here to stay after one use. My skin felt so soft after, and it’s gentle enough for daily use! Amazing for clearing away dirt and dead skin cells to keep your skin looking fresh and young, and is working great already to brighten my skin up for spring!
This small but mighty little device has been one of my favourites all winter, and will definitely stay that way going into spring. It softly vibrates to provide a deep clean to your skin so you can feel clear and refreshed after washing your face.
This is a necessity all year round, but it’s especially important to remember going into warmer weather seasons. The sun is going to be getting stronger (hallelujah let it shine) so we need to protect our skin, particularly our faces as that skin is so sensitive and often receives most exposure! I loved this Vichy sunscreen from the first time I used it- it’s NOT greasy, and it’s anti-shine/dry-touch so it won’t affect your makeup application whatsoever. Plus, it’s SPF 60 which is AMAZING.
This dewy skin cream is everythinggggg when it comes to feeling like you want to shed your winter skin. Leaves your skin literally feeling SO dewy, hydrated and fresh. (UGHHH summer get here now!!!)
This facial spray, as well as the following one by Mario Badescu, both make for primers, setting sprays and best of all - the easiest way to hydrate and refresh your skin throughout the day. If your makeup is already done but your skin is feeling tight or dry throughout the day, a few sprays of this will help hydrate as you go!
This spray with aloe, cucumber and green tea is my favourite (sooo refreshing) but also comes with aloe, herbs and rosewater, as well as aloe, chamomile, and lavender!
This is my absolute favourite body scrub (I believe I’ve mentioned it here before)- gentle but does an awesome job exfoliating and your skin will feel amazing after! Amazing for buffing off some of that dry, dead winter skin to make way for fresh spring skin!
The perfect way to finish off your body skincare routine - Whipped Argan oil body butter from Josie Maran (doesn’t it even just SOUND lush and yummy?!?!). It’s super hydrating and smells amazing!
A super glossy and hydrating gloss/balm, it feels super fresh on your lips and is also really hydrating! Perfect to throw into any (or each) purse!
Holy. Grail. Lipstick. Period.
To me, this is an all-in-one. You can use it to bronze, highlight, give some quick colour and contour to your face, use on your eyes- plenty of uses, in a universally flattering shade!
This is a really beautiful and budget friendly alternative to some of the Anastasia Beverly Hills highlight palettes, offering four great shades to give you a beautiful natural glow, all for an awesome price!
This quickly became my ride-or-die highlighter, the one I could always count on if I’m not feeling particularly ambitious with my makeup look - throw it on and it’s perfection everytime. Works perfectly as inner corner or brow bone highlight on your eyes, and you’ll have cheekbones for days with a bit of this on them.
Not quite a lipstick, this Lip Glow from Dior is more of an amped up lip balm and it’s the perfect addition to a little makeup bag refresh for a new season! Gives a natural finish and perfect for everyday.
I’ve DEFINITELY talked about this blush before, because I wear it allllll the time and it’s my absolute favourite. This is the PERFECT blush for spring and summer, especially. The mineralize blushes have a bit of shimmer in them to give you a really dewy, natural look and makes your skin look super healthy! This is my all time go-to blush hands down!
This is a super creamy gloss and ‘Totally’ is such a natural shade that it’s the perfect everyday gloss to finish off a really natural and fresh look! One of my favourites, and obsessed with this shade!
A very budget-friendly option for a super healthy looking glow- this Milani glow kit has three separate highlighters you can use to pop your cheekbones, use as eyeshadow- whatever you want to give yourself that dewy finish!
