FAVOURITE SPORTS BRAS
Happy FRIDAY friends!! The sun is shining, the temps are rising, and I don’t know about you but that always helps in terms of making me want to get up and get active (TBH it also makes me wanna BBQ and have a beer buttttt for the sake of this post let’s stick to getting active). This has been a much requested post and I just can’t make you wait any longer! I do apologize that it has taken me this long for those of you that asked for this quite awhile ago- but I wanted to make sure that I tried each bra (and since some of them are a little pricey, it took me a bit to do lol). I’m (obviously) no bra model nor do I want to be one, so I don’t have a ton of personal pictures in this post but I did take a couple just so you could see how they fit on me. These are in no particular order but I’ll let you know what I liked and disliked (if anything) about each one.
This bra from Knixwear fits like a GLOVE. Knix specializes in intimates for every woman and uses really high quality material that is SUPER comfortable. It sits really nicely and comfortably and doesn’t dig in along your waistline, and gives a nice shape (aka no uniboob here). Loved this one, and it definitely stood the test when it came to jumping jacks! I felt secure and comfortable, and had maximum support in this one. You can also do it up and undo it like a regular bra, so no wrangling it over your head when you’re super sweaty (I’m becoming a really big fan of bras that do that!).
Normally I don’t like underwire sports bras, but of course I recognize that many women do like the support of an underwire, so I wanted to try one- and of all the ones I’ve tried I liked this one by far the best. This one is from Curvy Couture and they do have a wire free option as well. This one also provides max support and gives a nice shape as well. I found this to be true to size, but there are a couple of notes on the website to size down one cup if you’re in between cup sizes, as well as if you’re used to wearing a push up/heavily padded bra - so keep that in mind!
This was probably the least ‘shapely’ of the ones I tried, but one of the main things that I love about this bra is how long it goes down your waist. This provided a TON of coverage and smoothed everything out, at the back especially (ya know how with sports bras sometimes you hike them up but then the back fat falls out and then you just can’t get it comfortable… not with this one!). It also comes in a large variety of different colours, and support wise I’d peg this around a medium support! High quality material though!
So this one is described as a medium support bra but honestly, I’d say it’s more of a medium-high support bra! It’s a little less coverage and a little more cleavage, so sometimes that involves some readjusting but overall I was pretty happy with it! You get a much better shape than with a regular sports bra (again, no uniboob) and that’s what made me keep it (you can keep scrolling for a pic of it on me!).
This is a high support sports bra and praise the heavens- a front zip. After trying a front zip, I might never love anything as much as a front zip. THE EASIEST THING EVER to get off after a workout. Seriously though, not throwing your shoulder out trying to get out of a damn sports bra is very meaningful to me LOL. Love everything about this one!
This bra was absolutely hands down my favourite. This might have just become my holy grail of sports bras. Guys, it’s SO COMFORTABLE. Again, front zip (also has a hidden clasp you can do up before the zipper to help you get those puppies secured in there lol) and honestly it just feels light, breathable, and I didn’t adjust it once during a workout. Yours truly is in the black one below and i. am. obsessed. I immediately ordered two more with no regrets. LOVE. Bravo on this bra Handful!
