RUNNING/TRAINING SHOE LOVE
Happy Sunday guys! I’ll be updating you all real soon with my monthly results but I wanted to get this running/training shoe post in because I’ve been obsessing over some REALLY good ones lately! I don’t really prefer one brand over another (as you see below- there’s no love lost when it comes to Nike vs Under Armour, let’s say). I look for comfort, versatility, and how light they are. I feel like there’s nothing worse than shoes feeling heavy and like they’re almost weighing you down as you work out. I don’t do a ton of running, most of my exercise revolves around weights, brisk walks and step training - so I will include a couple pairs from brands like Saucony and Asics (which are the ultimate in my opinion when it comes to good running shoes) but I tend to sway more towards a light training shoe. So without further ado, enjoy some of my current favourite running/training & athleisure shoe styles!
These Nike Pegasus shoes are my go-to pair for working out at home. They’re super light, comfortable, and the bottoms have decent grip so I’m not slipping and sliding during planks or mountain climbers on the tile we have downstairs. This specific pair are the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 34s - I got mine at an outlet a few years ago, so they won’t be available anymore in this specific combination, but I was able to still find a few 34s on Amazon. Nike has since released an updated version- the Pegasus 35s. They’re a classic training shoe available in various colour options, and on the Nike website you’re also able to design your own.
I didn’t get any shots in the ones below but I have these as well and I absolutely LOVE them. There’s tons of support under your heel and foot, to add tons of comfort and they go up fairly high at the back to support your ankle as well. The absolute best part about all of these is their versatility - they’re so comfortable, obviously stylish to complete your workout look, but also perfect to throw on and run around to do errands! Plus, this colour combo is EVERYTHING. So slick!
If you do a lot of cardio, including running, walking etc, or require a lot of foot support (which most of us do - my chiropractor especially likes to refer me to shoe brands like these), Saucony and Asics are great options for a comfortable and super supportive shoe.
Saucony Freedom ISO (on sale right now!)
How bomb is this colour!? Have them, love them. So comfy!
I also love Under Armour both for working out and recreation - they have some great athleisure styles as well as workout styles for all different activities. In case you hadn’t noticed, my style is either bold or neutral - there is really no in between LOL. I love the bold colours paired with black on these beauties- but most importantly, they’re super comfortable. I especially love these for brisk outdoor walks- tons of cushion under the heel, and lots of support behind the ankle. These were just released and they’re the Under Armour HOVR Infinite Running Shoes. Hurry though- they were fully stocked a week ago and they have been selling out super quick!!
Jacket - This bomber is Aritzia from a couple years ago, but I love this similar Puffer Bomber Jacket from Forever 21
Top - Lulu Lemon, colour is from a couple years ago but this Swiftly Tech Long Sleeve is always available in numerous colours
Last but not least, some athleisure styles that I’ve been obsessing over lately. Of course, many shoe styles can be switched in and out to style with an athleisure outfit, but I love a good neutral shoe to rock (even with jeans!) for a casual and comfortable look.
These Lululemon shoes are serious goals. I haven’t been able to justify the price (and have a pretty good collection going already) but these are stunning shoes! Perfect addition to any look for a comfortable but stylish look.
